I'm Kristina Hanlon, a certified death doula and hospice nurse.
My background in hospice nursing gave me a deep, firsthand understanding of the physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of end-of-life care. As a death doula, I bring that experience into something more personal: holistic, non-medical support built entirely around you - your needs, your values, and your wishes. I work alongside families and healthcare providers, but most of all: I work for you. My role is to make sure you feel informed, empowered, and supported at every step.
What that looks like is different for everyone. It might be emotional or spiritual support. Education about the dying process. Help starting conversations that feel impossible to begin. Advance care planning, legacy work, caregiver support, or simply a calm and grounded presence when everything feels uncertain. Often, it becomes all of these things at different moments, in different ways.
People tell me that having the right information brings them peace. That the process feels more manageable when they aren't navigating it alone. That difficult family conversations become possible when there's someone steady in the room.
That is what I am here to offer.
Beyond Individual Support
I also facilitate Death Cafes, community conversations, and educational workshops on death and dying, and I have developed CEU trainings for healthcare professionals focused on improving communication and comfort around end of life. I believe that the more openly we talk about death in our communities and in our care systems, the less alone any of us will feel when it arrives.
