The Life that Continues to Shape Mine
Today would have been my brother’s birthday.
He was wild and sweet. He loved deeply and could make anyone smile. He loved fishing, camping, and watching the Patriots. His spirit shined brightly and far too briefly. Like all of us, he was so much more than the hardest parts of his story.
Losing him changed me forever. It taught me that grief isn't something to fix, and that simply showing up for someone is often far more powerful than finding the perfect words.
Grief never truly goes away, but over time we learn to grow around it. We carry it differently. And sometimes, if we're willing, we can allow that pain to become a catalyst for growth, compassion, service, and purpose.
My own experience continues to shape the way I care for the individuals and families I have the privilege of supporting. For that, I am deeply grateful.
Happy Birthday, Tommy. Your life continues to make a difference.
